Us, on the way to the Farmers Market… “We need to restrain ourselves.”
Also us…
It was the first week for corn, and the second for peaches and blackberries so we had to get those…
And I want to make pickles, which led to pickled red onions, and pickled jalapeños. Which led to Giardiniera.
With my first dozen of Gaedderts corn, I always blanch and freeze. So there’s that. And I’ll make peach and blackberry preserves.
So see? Perfectly reasonable to buy all that produce. plus, we made more than we spent at the market.
