Lots going on!

We have planted, we nave new bees, we are hatching! Busy time on the farm.

New flowers in the wildflower field: Batchelor Buttons, Poppies.

We got a hell of a deal on some wooden boxes. $5 per for ten. That’s how many can fit in the truck at once.

Nice, good sturdy boxes with bottoms and handles.

I put on brackets to steady them.

Then pulled off the bottoms and handles for use in other projects. We’ve already reused one of the handles to fix our chicken coop.

Painted them inside and out to protect from the elements.

We put a combination of soil and peat in the planters, then planted our veggies.

This year’s crop of chickens looks good! fitting that they are in the box destined for eggplants.
