Living My Best Life

After a week of Canada pictures and this post on Facebook: One of my friends had this to say: I have to agree.

…All Good Things

Our “last” day of vacation was in Calgary. After a leisurely breakfast, we got ready to leave. Most of the stuff in Calgary was closed, because it was the Easter holiday, but we did have some time to wander around.

Bye bye Banff.

Sadly, we had to go home. So we originally planned on renting a car the whole time we were in Banff, not realizing that was stupid. So we just rented one for the drive to Calgary.

Wow Banff!

We got to Banff and spent the first day walking around. Holy cow the Canadian Rockies are beautiful! This is the view from our hotel room.

Kamloops to Banff

We got back to the train, and got another morning toast. The views started getting more mountainous. More rivers, and lots of wildlife. We saw a mama bear with three small cubs, goats, bighorn sheep, elk, and deer. Oi, what’s all this, eh?

Train Schedule

So here is the way that the day goes on the train. Get on the train at 7-ish. We start with a toast. Then coffee. Then first course of breakfast. Second breakfast. Coffee top-off. And then the bar opens.

Van City Rainforest

Where did I leave off? I think at the Science museum. Nope… gastown. So we get on the hop-on/hop-off bus, which we are beginning to think is a scam. They are never around. But we get on there, and encountered Ron. Ron, will be… Continue Reading “Van City Rainforest”
