…a funny thing happened on the way to the bar
The second day in Banff took us to the south of town. Banff has a lot of really great things, walkability is one of them. We were at a hotel right in the middle of the tourist area.
I love all of the medallions throughout Banff.
But the Husband, having resisted repeated suggestions of the gondola in Estes Park, decided that this would be worth it. It was. So we took the Roam bus – seriously great shuttle – to the Sulphur Mountain gondola.
It was a bit scary for two people who are afraid of heights. But the views…
We had lunch at the top.
Beautiful lunch view.
Amazing.
Then we went to the Upper Hot Springs, which, while nice, at the end of the day was just a huge hot tub with a lot of people.
Then back to the hotel, naps, and dinner at an awesome steakhouse – Saltlik.
