First Grocery Store After Recommitting

All right, I already said that I’m recommitting to good habits. Two are cooking more and wasting less. To that end, I was deliberate in my grocery shopping today, and will be keeping tabs on whether I follow through.

We planned our meals for the week.

  • Mahi Mahi with mango salsa over quinoa
  • Beef stew
  • Grilled chicken with vegetables and salad
  • Pork Street tacos with calabacita
  • Pasta and marinara

There’s a leftovers in there, and we generally go out to eat on Friday nights and go to MakeICT. I have a neurological ophthalmologist appointment in KC on Friday, so he’s on his own. I’m working 4/10s so I don’t have to take PTO to miss on Friday. So he’s on tap for a couple of these.

I bought:

  • 2 lbs of carrots
  • Bell Peppers
  • 1 Cucumber
  • 1 Zucchini
  • 1 Squash
  • 3 lbs of onions
  • A head of garlic
  • 1 sweet potato
  • 1 lb of Brussel Sprouts
  • 1 head of red cabbage
  • 1 head of romaine
  • 3 bananas
  • 1 mango
  • Pineapple

Produce I had:

  • Salad Mix
  • Peppers
  • Onions
  • Celery
  • Radishes

My goal is to use all of it before it goes bad.
