Pickle Day

Now that we have all this produce, we have to preserve it.

We have a bit.

Cucumbers for Dill Pickles
Carrots, onions, cauliflower, celery, and peppers for giardiniera
Red onions and jalapeños

Our fancy pants stove was a lemon, so *all* the knobs are broken, and three of the burners.

So we brought in a hot plate.

Final tally:

  • 8 pints of pickles
  • 1 quart and three pints of guardiniera
  • 1 pint pickled jalapeños
  • 1 pint pickled onions
