Hooray Vaccines

We are finally two weeks past our second vaccine. And boy did we take advantage!

I got a haircut for the first time since the first week of March, 2020. Seven inches gone. Hooray.

Then off to the chickens auction for the first time in more than a year.

Not a lot has changed. We even saw some of the same characters.

And as mentioned before, we lost our cool. There were chickens and bunnies and goats! Oh my!

The plan was to go to Carriage Crossing for dinner, but Daisy happened.

Saturday was spent getting our goat settled. Shes been to the vet for a checkup, and she’s already spoiled.

Interested kitten is interested. Shocking, since Demeter *just* decided to like the Husband. Ari is disgusted with someone else being loved on.

Then *angels singing* we went out to dinner. It was amazing.

Dinner started with drinks and charcuterie on the patio.

Started with a juice with spinach, cantaloupe, and watermelon (which was less icky than it sounds). Then beets, brie and oranges. Beans, mushrooms, asparagus, radish, and mushroom beurre monté. Then bread and baked ricotta. Short rib and pickled carrots over turnip purée (which, with enough butter and cream and cardboard purée would be delicious). I had the 3 oz wine pairing although I couldn’t finish. Then rhubarb and poppyseed cheesecake with coffee.

Then we looked at their goats and headed home to bottle feed Daisy on the porch.

All in all, a damn fine day.
