Birds

It is just lovely this evening. After three days of serious wind, it finally calmed down a bit.

I can see and hear a variety of birds from my perch on my porch.

I saw a pair of ring-necked pheasants flying off… I’ve seen them a number of times this week.

The barn swallows were investigating their usual nest, fascinating the cats.

They’re now interested in what their human is doing. Don’t they know what a blog is?

I hear a great number of red-wing blackbirds. Not the most mellifluous, but they are pretty.

I can hear the clumsy advances of the roosters.

I hear robins, and maybe some chickadees.

I love spring so much. I don’t recommend missing an entire season, but if I had to, at least it wasn’t spring.
