Art from Maker Faire

We had a lovely weekend at Maker Faire, which means I don’t have any good crafts. We did buy some cool artwork though.

The flowers are on dictionary pages. They will go in the downstairs bathroom. The destination one is going in our guest room. The John Muir has a bit more history to it. So we got married in a National Park. We are neither of us religious, but I grew up Catholic. So my context for a wedding is a full mass. We made our family schlepp all the way to Colorado, so I felt like they needed a show. A five minute ceremony wasn’t going to cut it.

So what do you do when you need structure/ritual, but don’t want to get God involved? You have readings from environmentalists.


So the Muir picture will go in our living room, with a craft project I’m halfway done with, and that will be the subject of a future post.

And because I desperately love them, here are the flowers that were the inspiration for the colors/styling/theme of our wedding:
