My newest thing that I’m doing creatively is pressing flowers. I took the class and now am trying it on my own.
So the flowers I pressed before were ready. The first thing is did was find a passage from Muir that I wanted to use.
Backstory
I grew up Catholic. Now I am not religious, but I still have that in my head. So when we got married, we had a destination wedding. Small, just family and a couple of friends. So it bothered me to not have a ceremony without some weight and structure. So, we found some nice passages from John Muir.
Now here is the part of the story where the librarians may need a trigger warning.
I tore out a page to use in the picture. The book was new, so I took the scrap and aged it in a tea bath.
Once it was sufficiently aged and dried, I started putting together my pieces.

It is a mix of the flowers from the party, flowers from RMNP and flowers from my yard. Not perfect, but I’m okay with it.
