Goat Burrito

Still waiting. Waiting. Waiting.

Everyone chilling in the shed. Yes, Cookie is lying on top of Violet.

One of the things that I did for my over-the-top go bag is to make goat burritos. It’s cold out there, and if Mama is busy having second baby, first baby may need to get warm.

So, I bought some quilted fabric and flannel to make burritos (similar to a purrito). First thing is I cut out my fabric. I have a 12 by 12 square, so I cut using the fold to get a 12 by 24 piece of each fabric.

I’d rather have them too big than too little, so I made them longer. Then I sewed on Velcro, learning that I had two different sides of Velcro – not just two rolls of Velcro.

I had two colors, in case the babies look alike.

Embarrassing admission, the flannel on the inside is 100% because I saw the goat flannel.

Anyhoo, I sewed the edges with main sides in, and flipped it out, then sewed the last edge.

And here they are all done!

Ready for babies to keep warm. C’mon Violet (although maybe wait until morning because brrr and dark).
