Bee Update
A couple of weeks ago we had a nice day, so we decided to open up the bees, feed them, and see how things were going.
Our setup is two hives (four in April, assuming we make it through the winter), under a structure to help protect the hive from the cold, with an additional canvas windbreak in the north side.
We have two brooder boxes on each, and a super that has a feeder.
We added food to the feeder and gave each hive a pollen patty. Hopefully this will keep them for a bit,.
The bees were happy.
We have bees that will arrive in April. Yay!
