…a funny thing happened on the way to the bar
One of the nice things about MakeICT is that it has a lovely cutting table.
It makes it a whole lot easier to cut out patterns and piece together fabric. I decided that I wanted some cool summer dresses to wear around the house. So I picked up my pattern, and some cute calico.
I cut out the pattern, and then didn’t do anything with it for a couple of weeks. It’s a simple housedress with pockets!
The pockets are a contrasting color. But I didn’t need much so I looked in my fat quarters for a nice blue. Found a good one, and I was off to the races. Being a moron, I forgot the instructions when I went to make, but I improvised, and it came out great!
Here is the *almost* finished product. It needed a hem still in this picture. But it is hemmed now, and some butter yellow leggings are on their way to go under it. My next one is going to be a daisy pattern, and the contrast will be butter yellow. I’ve got some yellow calico with bees on it.
I have a feeling I’m going to wear a lot of these this summer.
