Attempted Kayaking

The next day was supposed to be a kayaking excursion among the salt marshes. Of the five of us, two made it. One peeled off sick early, and the Husband and i peeled off because the going was too rough. We went through a… Continue Reading “Attempted Kayaking”

Hilton Head Day Two

Day two of Hilton Head was Daufuskie Island. I’ve wanted to go to Daufuskie for a while now. It’s this island off of HH that was a settlement of freed slaves, and it has its own culture, cuisine, and charm.

Hilton Head Day 1

We got settled into the condo, and made our way down to the ocean ocean ocean. I’m such a little kid when it comes to that. Our view from the condo.

We are at a hotel in Wichita, since my flight came in rather late last night from my week in Wisconsin. It seemed silly to drive all the way back, just to come back to Wichita in the morning to start our trip, plus… Continue Reading “The adventure begins.”

My latest project

One of the nice things about MakeICT is that it has a lovely cutting table. It makes it a whole lot easier to cut out patterns and piece together fabric. I decided that I wanted some cool summer dresses to wear around the house.… Continue Reading “My latest project”

Bees, Grommet!

We are hard at work getting ready for our bees. We have our list of things that we need and are slowly but surely checking things off our list.
