Book Three – How to Speak Chicken
This was a fun little book about chickening by Melissa Caughey.
It breaks down some of the behaviors of chickens. It makes me very happy to know that the sound that the chickens make when I come out to see them roughly translates to “Hello, member of my flock.” One told me goodnight as I was closing up the coops for the night. I’m keeping this book handy, so I can learn what the vocalizations mean.
Our Welsummers are so sweet, and come up to me when I go outside.
